Brandon West pushes for ban on conversion therapy

West highlighted the harmful effects of this practice, which has been discredited by medical professionals and linked to increased suicide risks among LGBTQ+ youth. He cited research indicating that banning conversion therapy could potentially prevent 100 suicides over the next decade. West noted that 11 municipalities in Ohio have already enacted similar bans, framing the proposed ordinance as a step toward fostering a healthier and more inclusive community in Lorraine.
