New leadership reshapes Galton County Schools for success

During a recent government meeting, the Galton County Schools district introduced several new head principals and administrative changes aimed at enhancing student outcomes. The gathering served as a platform to familiarize the community and school board with the new leadership team, emphasizing the importance of these roles in shaping educational experiences.

Among the notable introductions was Kyron White, who has transitioned from teacher to head principal of David Skeet Elementary. Connie Cuellar was introduced as the new head principal of Jefferson Elementary, while Christopher Latson has moved from Catherine Miller to lead Gallup High School.

The district also welcomed Tyler Oakes from Oregon as the new head principal of Catherine Miller Elementary, filling a crucial vacancy. Jessica Wilson was recognized for her new role as head principal of Navajo Middle School, while Cynthia Mauer returned to Turpin Elementary as head principal after a previous tenure.
