Local farmer raises alarm over massive solar project impact

During a recent government meeting, a local resident expressed significant concerns regarding the proposed Flat Creek Solar project by Cordelio Power, which aims to utilize thousands of acres of farmland in upstate New York for solar energy production. The resident, who has lived in the area for over 31 years and owns a small farm, attended an informational meeting about the project and was taken aback by the scale of the development, which he initially believed would be much smaller.

The resident highlighted that the project would not only affect his property value but also impact the surrounding communities, including Minden, Saint Johnsville, and Palatine. He emphasized the importance of communication among local officials and expressed frustration over a lack of responses to his outreach efforts regarding his concerns.
