Residents rally against proposed property tax hike

Reyes noted her part-time job at Walmart as a necessity to cope with rising expenses, including taxes and internet costs. She urged the council to reconsider the tax increase, emphasizing the need for fiscal restraint during tough economic times.

The council closed the public hearing after hearing from residents, with a motion to proceed without any property tax increase.
