Community plans exciting new sports facilities for families

During a recent government meeting, officials discussed upcoming community events and the progress of student committee selections. A notable highlight was the announcement of a family-friendly event scheduled for August 11, featuring activities such as mini golf, driving ranges, and batting cages, aimed at encouraging community engagement.

Additionally, the meeting addressed the ongoing selection process for the next cohort of students to serve on the RSBA committees. Officials indicated that final decisions on candidates would be made once middle school teams are confirmed, allowing for a structured approach to planning future meetings.

In the consent agenda, items 9.01 to 9.09 were approved without individual consideration, with no items listed under 9.05 for this month. A specific inquiry was made regarding the purchase of sports equipment for Crestwood, which is set to benefit from a dedicated gym space.
