Celebrating Unsung Heroes of Carson City Public Service

During a recent government meeting, Carson City officials celebrated the dedicated service of several employees, highlighting their contributions to the community. Director of Carson City Health and Human Services, Nikki Acre, led the recognition, starting with Ronnie, who has devoted 15 years to the Health Department. Acre praised Ronnie for her exceptional service, noting her roles as a clinical services division manager and adolescent health program coordinator, as well as her commitment to training staff and ensuring compliance with health regulations.

The meeting continued with acknowledgments for other long-serving employees, including Brian Elder, a project manager recognized for his resilience in handling complex city projects over the past decade. Tamara, the recording secretary, was also commended for her meticulous work in documenting meeting minutes, with board members expressing their appreciation for her professionalism and community involvement.

Deputy Sheriff Christopher Lisonbee was celebrated for his five years of service, with a special mention of his recent promotion to sergeant. The meeting also recognized Greg, the trails coordinator, for his critical role in managing the city’s extensive trail system, which has gained international recognition under his leadership.

Amber Lafollette from the treasurer's office was acknowledged for her proactive approach and positive attitude, which have significantly improved service delivery to the community. The meeting concluded with a tribute to several fire department personnel, including those with 20 years of service, who were noted for their bravery during the waterfall fire incident early in their careers.
