Community rallies for urgent education funding reform

During a recent North Shore Council PTSA meeting, representatives discussed upcoming events and the impact of budget cuts on local schools. Robbie Reid, president of the North Shore Education Association, welcomed staff and students back for the 2024-2025 school year and called for urgent action regarding education funding. Reid announced a town hall meeting on October 23 at Edmonds Woodway High School, aimed at addressing the ongoing education funding crisis. This event will feature educators sharing their experiences with budget shortfalls and provide a platform for community members to engage with local legislators.
