Residents fight to save mobile home park from redevelopment

In a recent government meeting, discussions centered around a proposed major modification to a site designated for office commercial use within the Waimama community plan. The modification aims to enhance growth in the urban service area and aligns with several objectives and policies outlined in the community's comprehensive plan. She referenced a statute that mandates the provision of alternative housing within a five-mile radius for displaced residents, arguing that such options are currently inadequate.
