Approval granted for new townhouse development amid community concerns

The applicant argued that such a wall would necessitate the removal of existing oak trees, which they aim to preserve as part of the landscape design. Instead, they proposed a chain link fence with an opaque hedge to maintain the natural buffer.

The board expressed support for the applicant's request, agreeing to modify the conditions to allow for the preservation of the oak trees while still providing a boundary. After a brief discussion, the board unanimously approved the site development plan with the amended conditions.

The meeting also included a quasi-judicial public hearing for another project, Legacy Place, although no further details were provided during this session. The board members were reminded to disclose any prior communications with the applicants as part of the procedural requirements.
