Community leaders rally for addiction treatment scholarships

Roberts noted that the cost of sponsoring a person for three months is approximately $7,000, which covers comprehensive treatment services.

Roberts also shared a success story of a client who, after achieving sobriety, became actively involved in county politics, illustrating the transformative impact of such programs. He urged the commissioners to consider the long-term benefits of investing in community health and recovery, citing a success rate of over 50% for their treatment program.

The meeting underscored the critical need for continued support and funding for mental health and addiction recovery services, as community members rallied for increased resources to aid those struggling with substance use disorders.
