Ballot counting continues as new leaders emerge

In a recent government meeting, officials provided an update on the ongoing ballot counting process following a primary and special vacancy election for Congressional District 4. As of the latest count, 8,662 mail-in ballots have been accepted, with nearly 100 in-person voters participating.

Officials expressed gratitude to the town of Elizabeth for hosting a voter service center, which was essential for facilitating the election. Additionally, the results for commissioner races were highlighted, with Buck and McDaniel securing their respective positions in Districts 1 and 3, alongside Chris Richardson.
