Deputy honored for heroic service and drug seizures

During a recent government meeting, a local sheriff's deputy was recognized for his significant contributions to law enforcement in the county. The acknowledgment highlighted the deputy's extensive service since 2018, during which he has dedicated over 568 hours to assisting various law enforcement agencies at local, state, and federal levels.

Key achievements mentioned include the seizure of over $278,000 in narcotics funds, the arrest of more than 80 felons, and the recovery of substantial quantities of illegal drugs, including over 12 pounds of heroin and fentanyl, 39 pounds of methamphetamine, and 24 pounds of marijuana. Additionally, the deputy has recovered over 20 firearms and conducted more than 30 building searches and 220 vehicle searches. His involvement with the SWAT team has been notable, with over 140 deployments, and he has played a crucial role in conducting over 1,000 traffic stops with the K-9 unit.
