Council debates funding shift to address housing crisis

The council ultimately agreed to amend the action plan, moving the $50,000 from the AWCSBDC to unprogrammed funds, allowing for future programming into approved activities. This decision reflects a broader focus on addressing housing needs, which council members identified as a pressing issue for the community.

In addition to the funding discussions, the council adopted several resolutions and ordinances, including those related to election procedures, public safety funding, and property tax levies. The meeting concluded with a motion to continue discussions on a proposed rezoning ordinance to a future meeting, indicating ongoing deliberations on land use and development in the city.
