Holy Cross launches innovative program to boost community energy

During a recent government meeting, officials highlighted the success of the Community Energy Systems program, which has been operational for two years. This initiative aims to assist both commercial and residential projects in making energy-efficient upgrades, including fuel switching and the installation of solar panels, batteries, and heat pumps.

Holy Cross, the organization behind the program, offers upfront in-kind donations to help offset the costs associated with infrastructure upgrades, such as transformers and labor. Currently, five projects have been approved, with an additional three to four expected to commence by the end of the year. Officials encouraged community members to consider this program for upcoming projects.

Additionally, attendees were invited to the annual meeting scheduled for Thursday at 4 Eagle Ranch, where the organization will celebrate its achievements over the past year and provide a brief report on its progress. The meeting promises family-friendly activities and entertainment.
