Student Overcomes Adversity to Achieve Academic Success

During a recent government meeting, educators from Riverside and Enterprise High Schools shared inspiring stories highlighting the positive impact of community involvement and student resilience.

A representative from Riverside expressed gratitude for the school's supportive environment, emphasizing the joy and positivity among students and staff. The school has actively contributed to local welfare by donating over 150 boxes of food to the food bank this year. Additionally, a fundraiser focused on acts of kindness raised over $19,000, showcasing the school’s commitment to fostering a culture of generosity and support.

At Enterprise High School, Principal Holt shared a compelling success story about a student named Gage, who faced significant challenges upon transferring from Las Vegas. Initially struggling academically with a GPA of just 0.2 and lacking familial support, Gage demonstrated remarkable determination. He worked diligently over the summer to catch up on his studies, ultimately aiming to play college football. Holt praised Gage's hard work and resilience, highlighting the school's role in providing a supportive environment for students facing adversity.
