Residents rally against proposed street development in neighborhood

Residents of a local subdivision expressed strong opposition during a recent government meeting regarding proposed changes to the Applegate condominium area. A homeowner, whose property adjoins the condominium, raised concerns about plans to incorporate existing concrete walls from Applegate's parking lot into the new PG townhomes, which would directly impact their backyard.

The resident highlighted that the current 10-foot high concrete walls have been in place for years, and the community is united against the proposed street access through their subdivision. They presented a petition with over 100 signatures from fellow residents who share similar concerns, particularly about traffic congestion during peak hours, especially around school times.

The speaker emphasized safety issues, noting past incidents of vandalism and inappropriate behavior from maintenance crews near the chain link fences bordering their properties.
