During a recent government meeting, discussions centered on the proposed operations of Legacy Materials, a company seeking to establish a concrete casting facility. Key topics included air quality and dust mitigation measures, which have been incorporated into the project’s permit requirements.

Commissioner Patterson raised questions regarding the necessity of these mitigation measures, given that the facility plans to use wet concrete, which is not expected to generate dust. The commissioner sought clarification on whether these measures were precautionary or essential, noting that the application materials indicated a vacuum system would be employed to manage any potential dust.
