Provost School rebounds with innovative strategies for success

During a recent meeting at Provost Elementary School, the administration provided an update on student enrollment, demographics, and academic performance, highlighting both challenges and successes in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The school reported a rebound in enrollment figures, indicating that they have returned to pre-pandemic levels. The demographic breakdown revealed a diverse student body, with 57% Caucasian and 36% Hispanic students. Notably, 25% of the student population are English Language Learners (ELL), a focus area for the school’s improvement efforts.

The principal acknowledged the impact of the pandemic on student assessments, particularly in reading, where younger grades experienced significant declines.
