Renton River Days promises summer fun for all ages

The upcoming Renton River Days celebration, scheduled for July 26th through 28th, promises to be a vibrant community event filled with diverse activities. Residents and visitors are invited to partake in festivities that include a drone show at Jean Coulon Park, the Wenatchee Youth Circus, a Summer Bazaar, Foodie Fest, a Chalk Art Competition, and the popular Rubber Ducky Derby.

Additionally, the Renton History Museum will be open throughout the event, offering free admission and craft activities for both children and adults. The museum's exhibits will focus on the history of marriage in Renton and feature a potluck highlighting the city's international cuisine. The museum is located at 235 Mill Avenue South, just a block south of Liberty Park, and will operate from 10 AM to 4 PM Wednesday through Saturday, and from 1 PM to 4 PM on Sunday.

During the meeting, community member Edgar Taylor raised concerns regarding noise disturbances from Philip Arnold Park following its recent renovations. Taylor expressed that the once peaceful neighborhood of Renton Hill has been disrupted by loud parties occurring every weekend since the weather improved. The council encouraged residents to voice their concerns and assured that all remarks would be addressed collectively.
