Congressman Duarte champions veterans with new legislation

During a recent government meeting, Gavin Klein from Congressman John Duarte's office provided an update on key initiatives and community engagement efforts. Klein highlighted Congressman Duarte's ongoing advocacy for California's 13th congressional district, particularly focusing on veterans' issues.

One significant piece of legislation mentioned is HR 8880, the Simplifying Forms for Veteran Claims Act. This bill aims to streamline the paperwork process for veterans transitioning out of military service, addressing a major concern expressed by veterans in the region. The legislation has garnered bipartisan support, including backing from House Republicans and Democrats, as well as organizations such as the National Association of County Veteran Service Officers and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
