Collier County celebrates record low crime rates and new initiatives

The circuit has maintained the lowest crime rate in Florida for over a decade, a feat credited to effective law enforcement and community support. The funding provided last year enabled the establishment of a specialized narcotics felony division, which has proven successful in tackling high-end drug trafficking, particularly Fentanyl. This unit collaborates closely with local law enforcement agencies, resulting in numerous arrests and significant drug seizures.

Additionally, discussions touched on the need for remodeling the government complex in Immokalee, emphasizing the urgency of addressing outdated facilities, particularly an unused courtroom.
