Grace inspires future STEM leaders with impactful initiative

During a recent government meeting in Draper City, outgoing Miss Draper, Grace, delivered an inspiring farewell speech reflecting on her tenure and the initiatives she championed. Grace, who served as both Miss Draper's Outstanding Teen 2018 and Miss Draper 2021, expressed her gratitude for the opportunities provided by the Miss Draper Scholarship Program, which she credited for her recent admission into the University of Utah's biomedical engineering program.

In her address, Grace highlighted her initiative, \"Bright Futures Begin with STEM,\" aimed at promoting science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education among young students. She shared her experiences, including a memorable interaction at Draper Days where she engaged children with hands-on science demonstrations. Grace emphasized the importance of creating experiential learning opportunities to ignite interest in STEM careers.

She extended her thanks to various community organizations and individuals, including Kany Kids and the Draper Elementary PTA, for their support throughout her year of service. Grace's speech concluded with a heartfelt acknowledgment of the impact the Miss Draper program has had on her personal and academic growth, as well as her aspirations for the future.

The meeting also included a ceremonial crowning of the new Miss Draper, marking a transition in leadership and community representation. Mayor Troy Walker and the City Council were present to celebrate Grace's achievements and welcome her successor.
