City Council Moves to Restrict Fireworks Amid Drought Concerns

During a recent Draper City Council meeting, officials discussed several key items, including a resolution for a municipal boundary adjustment and the approval of various ordinances related to right-of-way easements.

One significant agenda item was the approval of a resolution stating the intent to hold a public hearing regarding a boundary adjustment with Lehigh City. Scott Bishop from Doctor Horton presented details about the proposed adjustment, which includes a conservation easement aimed at providing a buffer for the Maple Hollow subdivision. The council expressed interest in incorporating trails into the conservation plan, enhancing connectivity for the community.

Additionally, the council unanimously approved several ordinances vacating portions of right-of-way easements that are no longer needed. These included ordinances for a street known as 700 West and two other easements granted in previous years. The council noted that vacating these easements was necessary as they no longer serve a future purpose for the city.
