Community demands dignity and accountability from Camino Nuevo

During a recent government meeting, community members voiced their concerns regarding treatment and equity at Camino Nuevo Santa Ana. Alejandra Osorio formally requested to be included in a petition seeking a written response to six specific grievances. She emphasized the need for respectful treatment from staff and called for an end to perceived privileges that silence those who report abuse. Osorio highlighted issues of discrimination and segregation faced by individuals who express discomfort in the facility.

Another speaker, Enolia Montes, presented a statement on behalf of Susana Cortez, who echoed similar sentiments. Cortez demanded a written answer to the petition and urged staff to treat all individuals with dignity, criticizing the sarcastic behavior of employees and their lack of awareness regarding the disabilities of some attendees.
