Town launches competitive pay to boost EMS recruitment

Following this, Committeewoman Roberts announced that September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, encouraging residents to renew or sign up for library cards for a chance to win prizes, including gift certificates and library merchandise. Additionally, the Friends of the Library will host a book and media sale from September 13 to 15, and donations are still being accepted.

In a significant update, Committee member Martinez shared that the town is actively hiring Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel at competitive rates, designed to attract candidates by exceeding pay scales of neighboring towns. This initiative aims to bolster public safety and improve emergency response capabilities.

Committee member Benolivo introduced a new \"no knock\" ordinance, allowing residents to register online to prevent solicitors from approaching their homes. He also highlighted a new outreach program from the governor's office aimed at informing residents about state services and benefits, including healthcare and utility assistance.

Lastly, Benolivo announced a household hazardous waste collection event scheduled for September 28, exclusively for Camden County residents, emphasizing the importance of proper disposal of hazardous materials.
