City plans community cookout to support local students

During a recent government meeting, officials discussed several important topics, including budget updates and upcoming community events.

Weirich also announced a special event on July 28th, a back-to-school cookout at Alexander Park. This event aims to raise awareness about the park and its new playground. The city plans to fill 400 backpacks with school supplies and provide food for the community from 12 to 3 PM. Weirich mentioned that they are looking for donations of simple food items like hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and water. She will share an Amazon wish list for those interested in contributing.
