Monrovia School Board renews vital mental health partnership

The Monrovia Unified School District Board of Education has ratified the renewal of a general service agreement with Care Solace, Inc., aimed at enhancing access to mental health services for the community. The agreement, effective from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023, allows the district to utilize Care Solace's online platform, which connects families, teachers, and administrators to vetted local mental health providers.

Care Solace, previously known as Addiction Treatment Technologies LLC, ensures that all service providers meet essential service requirements, maintain licensure, and adhere to accreditation standards set by recognized organizations. This initiative is part of the district's ongoing commitment to mental health support, a topic highlighted during the meeting by board members who emphasized the importance of such partnerships.

Board members expressed their appreciation for the long-standing relationship with Care Solace and the positive impact it has had on the community. The motion to approve the renewal was unanimously supported by all board members present, reflecting a collective commitment to prioritizing mental health resources within the district.

The board also discussed a memorandum of understanding with the Colton Redlands Yucaipa Regional Occupational Program, indicating ongoing efforts to collaborate with various educational and health organizations to support student and community needs.
