School Celebrates Dads Making a Difference for Students

During a recent school board meeting, members expressed heartfelt gratitude for the recognition of teachers, parents, and students, marking a significant moment in the district's history. At Mayflower, the program is being revived after a hiatus due to COVID-19, with 18 dads already signed up to participate. Both schools celebrated their \"top dogs,\" recognizing the dads who contribute significantly to the school environment.

Additionally, board member Ms. Anderson reported on the district's strategic planning efforts, focusing on the development of a learner profile and a learning model aimed at fostering engaged and productive citizens. The coalition, comprising diverse stakeholders, is working collaboratively to shape the district's mission and vision.

The meeting concluded with a reminder of the State of the Schools event, which addressed recent challenges, including a troubling prank that occurred prior to the meeting. The board emphasized the importance of community support and engagement in navigating these issues.
