Rancho Mirage Rescue rally aims to find homes for pets

The city of Rancho Mirage is set to host its inaugural Rescue Rally on October 12th, from 9 AM to 2 PM at the Rancho Mirage Library and Observatory. This event aims to address the pressing issue of pet overpopulation by offering approximately 100 dogs and cats for adoption, alongside free spaying, neutering, microchipping, and vaccinations.

The rally will feature various animal welfare charities that will provide guidance on emergency preparedness for pet owners and information on fostering animals for those unable to adopt. The initiative is part of a broader effort to alleviate overcrowding at local shelters, as highlighted by a city representative who has been actively involved with the animal shelter.

In addition to pet adoption services, attendees can expect refreshments and giveaways, with hopes that many will find their new furry companions at the event.
