Bigfoot Bash and Woolly Worm Festival Set for October

In a recent government meeting, officials discussed several community events and infrastructure developments aimed at enhancing local engagement and improving county roads.

One of the highlights was the announcement of the \"Bigfoot Bash,\" a unique fundraising event for the high school track team. This event will feature concessions, music, and a presentation by Charlie Raymond, who is set to open a Bigfoot Museum in the gorge area. Raymond, a local researcher with a decade of experience studying Bigfoot sightings, will showcase his findings and offer paranormal tours as part of the Kentucky Acro Dark Trail initiative.

Additionally, the Snow House on Pine Grove will be open for tours over three days in October, allowing visitors to explore the site and engage in paranormal activities. The Collington building will also be accessible during the Woolly Worm Festival, where attendees can collect stamps for their Kentucky After Dark passports.

The meeting also addressed infrastructure needs, with the approval of a supplemental agreement between the Kentucky Transportation Academy and Lee County. This agreement allocates an additional $175,357 for resurfacing various county roads, bringing the total project funding to $582,881. Officials emphasized that this funding will enhance existing road projects rather than adding new ones.
