New event venue proposal sparks community interest

The property, which includes a historic manor house and outbuildings, is zoned for agricultural use, allowing for such developments under a special use permit. The planning commission expressed support for the project, noting that it aligns with local ordinances and community needs.

The commission is awaiting further comments from the Virginia Department of Transportation and the health department before moving forward. The applicant, Chris Seek, expressed enthusiasm for the project, highlighting its potential to enhance local tourism and provide a unique venue for events.
