Controversial tree removal sparks heated community debate

The first item involved an application from Michael and Erin Warner for the removal of two 32-inch magnolia trees and two 32-inch live oaks at 128 Kings Quarry Lane. The couple, represented by their builder, Paul Witt, argued that the trees posed risks to their planned single-family residence due to their proximity to the critical root zone. An arborist's report indicated that the trees' health would be compromised by construction activities, increasing the likelihood of them dying or falling.
