Community leaders unite for peace and diversity celebration

During a recent government meeting, Lelandhe Ward, a pastor from Mosaic Church, opened the session with a prayer emphasizing community connection and inclusivity. He announced upcoming events, including the Gem City Diaper Bank distribution at the church and a fall festival in partnership with the Green Optimist Club and Fairbrook Elementary School on October 10th. Additionally, he highlighted the church's fourth international festival on November 2nd, themed \"Respecting Differences and Promoting Peace.\"

Ward encouraged attendees to reflect on their experiences living in Greene County, posing questions about community improvement and healing. He called for wisdom and discernment for local leaders, acknowledging their diverse backgrounds and contributions. His prayer underscored the importance of unity and caring for all community members, regardless of differences.

Following the prayer, the meeting proceeded with the approval of previous minutes, with board members expressing unanimous support. The agenda then moved to a presentation by Rodney Cagle from the Convention and Visitors Bureau, marking the beginning of discussions on local tourism and community engagement initiatives.
