Community honors hero for tornado recovery efforts

In a recent government meeting, commissioners unanimously approved a proclamation and recognized community hero Angelica Maldonado for her significant contributions to the tornado cleanup efforts following the devastating F3 tornado that struck Southern Cook County on May 25, 2024.

Commissioner Stokes initiated the motion to approve the proclamation, which was seconded by Commissioner Arndt, and the motion passed with one commissioner absent.
