Irondale celebrates Homecoming with thrilling events and performances

During a recent government meeting, representatives from Mount View announced their participation in an upcoming event, confirming that three to four members will attend. Following this, Sydney and Kenna presented highlights from Irondale's recent Homecoming Week, which featured a series of spirited activities.

The week included popular events such as Volleybuff and Powderpuff, where seniors triumphed in flag football, and football players showcased their skills in volleyball tournaments. A notable highlight was the Family Feud-style game night, where students tested their knowledge of their peers' opinions, fostering community engagement.

The Homecoming football game against Monticello saw strong support from students, despite the team's loss. The event was marked by impressive performances from the fall performance teams and the marching band, which has recently gained recognition for its achievements, including a third-place finish in its class at a major competition.

Additionally, the debate team at Irondale celebrated success at their first tournament at Eastview High School, with five students placing in the top three in duos. Senior Andrea Perez earned first place in the junior varsity individual speaker awards, highlighting the team's competitive spirit and dedication.
