Veterans Advisory Council launched to support local heroes

In a recent government meeting, the newly established Henry County Veterans Advisory Council was introduced, highlighting its commitment to addressing the needs of local veterans. Colonel (Retired) Denise Gaines Edmond, chair of the council, emphasized the importance of the committee, which was formed in response to the growing veteran population in the community.

During her address, Edmond noted that the council consists of seven members and has been operational since July. The initiative aims to ensure that veterans in Henry County receive the support and resources they require.
