Budget Constraints Force Tough Decisions on Mental Health Funding

During a recent government meeting, key funding decisions were made regarding various health and support programs, reflecting ongoing budget constraints and prioritization of services.

The board discussed several funding requests, notably for the IDD Wellness Nurse position, which is recommended for full funding at $65,000, maintaining the same level as the previous year. This position does not receive state reimbursements, highlighting its reliance on local funding.
