Community honors 39 local heroes including 101 year old veteran

AdventHealth the Land sponsored a heartfelt ceremony honoring 39 local heroes for their service to the community and the nation. The event, which took place in a packed venue, featured the presentation of banners and replicas to each honoree, showcasing the commitment of AdventHealth to recognize those who have made significant contributions.

Among the distinguished individuals recognized was 101-year-old Edith Wise, the oldest hometown hero ever honored at the event. Wise, a World War II veteran, received special acknowledgment for her service, highlighting the importance of honoring veterans and their sacrifices.

As the ceremony concluded, families of the honorees were invited to exit, paving the way for the next presentation scheduled for the school year. The event not only celebrated individual achievements but also fostered a sense of community pride and gratitude towards those who have served.
