Residents demand action over school traffic and noise issues

Residents living adjacent to Lakeview School have voiced ongoing concerns regarding noise, traffic safety, and inadequate communication with school administration. During a recent community meeting, one resident detailed their frustrations, highlighting issues such as late-night snow plowing, which disrupts sleep, particularly for those working night shifts. The resident noted that snow removal often occurs at inconvenient hours, leading to disturbances that could be avoided.

Traffic congestion during school drop-off and pick-up times was another significant concern raised. The resident described dangerous situations where children run across busy streets, exacerbated by parents parking inappropriately despite new no-parking signs. Suggestions for improving traffic flow, such as utilizing the school's U-shaped driveway for drop-offs and encouraging parents to use the east side of the school, have reportedly been met with limited action from the administration.

The resident also expressed frustration over the lack of responsiveness from school officials, feeling that their suggestions for enhancing safety and traffic management have not been adequately considered.
