Commissioners approve controversial industrial site plan

During a recent meeting of the Centennial Planning and Zoning Commission, discussions centered around the approval of the Jordan Industrial Site Plan, case number site-twenty four-two. Commissioner Hunt emphasized the importance of understanding the realities of speculative building within the transportation network, noting that various users may not always align with initial traffic studies.

The commission acknowledged that while deviations from planned usage can occur, staff is committed to ensuring that the intent of traffic impact studies is upheld. This includes verifying that new users meet the standards set forth in the original plans.

Following a brief public hearing, which saw no community members sign up to speak, the commission moved forward with the approval process. Commissioner Jackson formally proposed the approval of resolution number 2024-PZ-R-09, affirming that the site plan meets all necessary criteria as outlined in the land development code. The motion reflects the commission's confidence in the planning process and its adherence to established guidelines.
