Marlborough Township is gearing up for a series of community events this October, including an autumn paint night and a Halloween spooktacular. The autumn paint night will take place on Thursday, October 24, from 7 to 9 PM at Marlborough High School, where participants can create fall-themed glass tumblers. Registration details, including a QR code for sign-up and payment, have been shared via email.
The Marlborough Farmers Market is also in its final weeks of the regular season, operating Sundays from 9 AM to 1 PM through October. Residents are encouraged to mark their calendars for the Holiday Market scheduled for November 24.
Families can look forward to the Halloween spooktacular on Friday, October 18, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM, featuring free cupcake decorating, a Halloween parade, and a costume contest. The event will also include DJ entertainment and carnival games, with candy donations appreciated.
In addition to festive activities, the township is hosting a free drive-through rabies clinic on Saturday, October 26, from 10 AM to noon at Marlborough Middle School. Residents are reminded that fall brush collection is underway, and leaf collection will be scheduled based on weather conditions. Loose leaves should not be placed curbside to avoid blocking storm drains.
The meeting also highlighted updates from local schools, including various activities promoting respect and kindness among students. Schools are celebrating the Week of Respect with themed days and events, while preparations for Halloween festivities, including parades and parties, are in full swing.
For more information on these events and other township programs, residents are encouraged to visit the township website and register for town emails.
