Bang and Gavel Brews, located in the historic boathouse at 17400 Oak Park Avenue, is making a significant impact this October by donating a portion of sales from their new craft beer, \"The Verdict is Pink,\" to two organizations dedicated to fighting breast cancer. This initiative was inspired by an employee's desire to give back, leading to the creation of this Berliner Weiss beer infused with hibiscus and strawberry.
Marketing and Creative Director Becky O'Connor highlighted the beer's popularity and encouraged community members to support the cause by trying it out. In addition to the beer, the brewery is selling themed t-shirts, with details on the fundraising efforts to be revealed by the end of the month.
Bang and Gavel Brews has planned several events to engage the community, including a pop-up pumpkin patch this weekend, inviting families to enjoy food and drinks while selecting pumpkins to carve. On October 24th, the brewery will host representatives from Embrace Emily, one of the benefiting charities, who will serve as guest bartenders. This event will also feature live music from the Soul Good Trio.
Additionally, the brewery is introducing a Thursday night date night, offering a four-course prix fixe menu to enhance the dining experience. A major announcement is also expected this Thursday, promising more exciting developments for the brewery and its patrons.
