Parents demand accountability from Bridgeport school leaders

Molly D'Andrea, a parent and teacher from a neighboring district, shared her positive experiences with Bridgeport Public Schools, noting her child's success in a competitive high school. However, she raised concerns about recent administrative decisions, including abrupt changes to school schedules and curriculum implementations without adequate notice or preparation for teachers. D'Andrea described a culture of fear among staff, attributing it to poor communication and leadership practices.

The meeting underscored a growing demand for transparency and effective governance within the Bridgeport educational system, as community members called for a collaborative approach to address the challenges facing local schools.
