Student of the Month Kendra Hearn Inspires Future Leaders

During a recent government meeting, key discussions highlighted the ongoing support for local education and the recognition of student achievements. The meeting began with a report on the foundation's contributions to the school district, detailing how funds raised are allocated towards scholarships for graduating seniors and grants for educators.

Miss Savage presented the agenda for the 2024-25 Educational Affairs Committee, emphasizing that the topics align with board policy and compliance requirements. She encouraged community members to attend upcoming meetings, with the next session scheduled for October 19th at 7 PM, both in-person and via Zoom. This meeting will focus on reviewing the draft academic calendars for 2025-2027 and feature presentations from elementary school principals on data and continuous improvement plans.

Kendra was acknowledged for her exceptional involvement in the Eastern Protective Services Program, where she actively promotes the program and engages with younger students. Her achievements include participation in leadership conferences and local competitions, as well as her commitment to community service through the 2nd Alarmers Association and an EMT course.

Kendra's aspirations include pursuing a career in criminology, attending college, and eventually joining the state police academy, demonstrating her dedication to public service and community safety.
