In a recent government meeting, officials provided a detailed account of the community's response to Hurricane Milton, which struck early Thursday morning. The storm brought sustained winds of 45 to 55 miles per hour, peaking at 62 miles per hour, and resulted in 6.4 inches of rainfall and a storm surge of 3 to 4 feet.
