Community rallies to honor coach with baseball field renaming

The first speaker, Reverend Sandoval, advocated for the renaming of the baseball field at City Shoals High School in honor of the late Coach James Lewis Holston. Holston, a respected figure in the Athens Clarke County School District, had a long career as a teacher and coach at various local schools, including Athens Industrial and Clark Central. Reverend Sandoval emphasized Holston's significant contributions to the community and urged the board to consider this honor as a fitting tribute to his legacy.
