Community unites for successful fall carnival fundraiser

During a recent government meeting, community leaders expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support received from families and volunteers for local schools. Nel, a representative from the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO), highlighted the success of the annual fall carnival fundraiser, emphasizing that such events rely heavily on community involvement. \"It just takes a true village of people and their time to make these things happen,\" Nel stated, acknowledging the contributions of teachers, staff, and administrators, particularly those who participated in a dunk tank event that delighted students.

Additionally, the meeting featured a celebration for the installation of two \"buddy benches\" at Bear Creek School, aimed at fostering friendships among students during recess. This initiative was inspired by a student's suggestion and brought to fruition through collaboration between Common Sense, Bear Creek Peaches, and local donors.
