Inglewood plans major investment to revitalize downtown area

Inglewood's Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is poised for significant growth and revitalization in 2025, as outlined in a recent government meeting. Executive Director Hillary Portel presented an ambitious budget proposal of over $1.3 million aimed at enhancing the downtown area, which includes shared funding with various city departments.

Portel emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong sense of community and quality of life, which she believes are key to attracting new businesses and residents. The DDA has reported a surge in local business relocations, with ten new businesses moving to the South Broadway area in just nine months, highlighting the area's growing appeal.
