New paintball facility promises safe fun and job growth

In a recent government meeting, representatives from Paintball Explosion outlined plans for a new facility in Gurnee, emphasizing its potential benefits for the community. The proposed location aims to modernize the existing paintball venue, which has been in operation for 20 years, and address safety and traffic concerns associated with the current site.

The presenters highlighted that the new facility would cater primarily to families, with children typically dropped off by parents who then visit nearby shopping centers. They anticipate minimal traffic impact, estimating around 150 to 200 vehicles per day, staggered throughout operating hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This scheduling is designed to reduce congestion and maintain a quiet environment outside business hours.

Safety was a key focus, with assurances that the facility would adhere to strict safety protocols and utilize advanced technology to minimize noise levels. The presenters noted that modern paintball markers produce significantly less noise than in the past, making them nearly inaudible from a distance.
