CORE Champions Celebrate Record Fundraising Success for Schools

In a recent meeting, the Rolla Board of Education recognized the CORE Champions of Rolla Education for their ongoing commitment to the Rolla School District. Established in 1991, CORE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing student needs and providing financial support for enrichment programs where other funding sources are unavailable.

The board expressed gratitude for CORE's efforts in promoting high educational standards and fostering community pride in local public schools. CORE also manages scholarship funds and contributes to significant projects within the district.

During the meeting, Gina, the director of CORE, was highlighted for her leadership in organizing the Ruin and Grace Soiree, an event aimed at engaging alumni and fostering community connections. The event has seen substantial growth since its inception four years ago, thanks to Gina's vision and dedication.

The meeting also celebrated a successful start to the fundraising season, with CORE reporting its highest card sales since 2015, totaling over $25,000. This funding will be directed back into elementary and middle schools, marking a significant rebound for the organization following the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The board and community members expressed their appreciation for the collaborative efforts that have contributed to this success.
